Hi Everyone, so sorry I haven't been in touch for a while. I've been a bit sick which lots of horrible things happening and then yesterday I had my party which was fab!! I had a brilliant day and managed to stay awake all day with no naps even though I had my morphine :-). We played SingStar, pin the head on westlife, a westlife quiz and pass the parcel. Loads of people came and I even had a cake. Some nurses came even though it was their day off, how nice is that! O my God you should see the pressents I got, I am so lucky. I got lots of pink stuff which I am thrilled with, I have to go through them all still as they are piled up on a chair here beside me. I got some amazing gifts, I'm liking this half Birthday idea, might do this every year :-). Check out the videoes and the pictures!!! Did I tell you I got a new chair?? Its an really cool electric one and I love it, in fact its hard to get me out of it. I was getting sores from being in bed for four months and the OT thought it would be a good idea... I wanted to sleep in it last night but Mummy and Daddy didn't think that would be a good idea. GaGa from Thailand is here at the moment, he arrived yesterday in time for the party in a pink shirt! Everyone wore pink!! Paula looked amazing in her fairy outfit and Mam had a pair of pink leather leggings on!! Dad had a pink t-shirt which was too small for him.

My faourite (Cormac) was the singing, my favourite (Caoimhe) was pinning the head on westlife and my favourite (Jack) was your pink wig. Was the lollypop cake any good? We hope you're having a nice time today. We've learnt a new card game called Rummy and we can't wait to play it with you when you come home.

Today in school we did our play for the infant school, tomorrow is our first performance for the parents. The junior school wouldn't stop talking during it. It was really fun like your pink party. I really enjoyed watching the video of it.

ReplyDeleteYour party looked great. The nurses all seem mad but dont tell them i said that. I am dying to come over and see you again and will do soon. We all miss you loads. Anna and my friend Sarah are looking at the video with me now. So is Mum. Mum says its a pity we didnt get to see Michelle in her pink leather leggings, that would have given us all a laugh. Ha Ha.
Will ring you tomorrow if I can. I am really nervous about the show tomorrow night. Mum says she is going to sit in the front and wave at me. God like i need that.

I would have loved to see a picture of your Dad in his too-tight T shirt and your mum in her pink leather leggings. Your nurses all seem really nice, some of them sing like me (that's not a compliment but shhh! don't tell them I said that).
I'm so glad you were showered with gifts, you so deserve it pet! And well done you for staying awake for the whole day. I have to admit I shed a little tear watching you cos I miss you so much and hearing your voice is so nice. I just wish so much that you were home and well, I know you will be soon pet.

I would love to seen your dad in his pink tshirt and your mum in her pink leather leggings, im sure they both looked great! All the nurses seem so nice and it was so nice of some of them to come in on their day off. I love all of the nurses accents.
Im so glad you enjoyed your party and got loads of presents, you deserve it honey! You should defo have a half party every year! That westlife game looks great, you are so good at it.
When you get home we should have another a big pink party for you!

I'm the same as Paula and Chrissie...I was a little teary-eyed too, but just because it was such a lovely surprise to hear you & see you and I wish so much you could be here playing cards with your cousins. But when that time does come it will be all the sweeter. Infact "sweet" doesn't come close to describing how fantastic it will be.
Well your cousins have got a second wind since watching your video and are running around singing songs! I'd better go rain on their parade and get them off to bed.
Your new chair looks great, I hope it helps with those sores. The electric bit sounds pretty cool...I think I'd like one of them myself and I can understand how you were tempted to sleep in it!

ur chair is great u must get a sore bum from being in bed ..i think u totally shud have a sleep in it but i can see why ur mammy and daddy didnt want u sleeping in it u could fall out of it which wud not b good.

Happy half pink birthday Naoise! Wow,what a fab party,I have never seen anything like it and I have never seen so much pink!!It looked great and everyone looked cool in their pink outfits. Don't tell anyone but I think that you looked the best!! I really loved the pink wig and the eyelashes! I have tried putting eyelashes on before and I ended up just sticking my finger in my eye!! Oouch! All your nurses seem so nice and Christine is right, they have cool accents!! It was such a good idea to put up a video of your party and I'm sure all your family and friends loved watching you laughing and enjoying yourself!! And Naoise, just think about the MASSIVE party you will have on your real birthday on christmas day. You are such a special girl so you will have to start thinking now about what theme you would like for your party...maybe another coloured theme? But a pink party is a really cool idea and it is your favourite colour!! Maybe a multi-coloured party??

Well,does Newcastle have talent or what?!!!! The video clip was very entertaining. That looked like a really fun party I must say and the nurses were all enjoying themselves we could tell. Naoise, we loved the wig and those eye lashes were something else! You looked like a Princess on her thrown sitting there. We were dissappointed we didn't get to see your Dad in his pink t-shirt! It was a really brilliant idea having the party. Maybe we should all have half birthday parties? Waiting 12 months just seems too long now. I'm sure you were tired at the end of it all alright. ReplyDeleteDelighted your back blogging, we missed your updates. Your party video was just lovely, I felt like I was there! You look fab in your wig, and it was great to get a little insight to your life in Newcastle; see the faces of the nurses you look after you, see yor room etc. I hope they don't sing to you too often though (don't tell them that)!
I have to agree with the others, your Mam in pink leather leggins and your Dad in his 'too small' pink t shirt would have just made the video. They got away scot free not having to sing or dance in their faboulous rig outs! For your homecoming party we'll get them!
You must have been exhausted after all that. Keep us posted on the pressents. Eva and Keelin had a close eye on the pink pressents wrapped on the chair and wanted to know what was in them.
Your chair sounds so comfy, hope it makes the bed sores go away!
