Hi everybody, today was a little quite, especially after yesterday. I had an ok kind of night. I was up in the middle of the night at one stage for nearly 2 hours, but then only a couple of times for the rest of the night. I’m not sure which are better loads of little disruptions or a couple of large disruptions. I had a lovely shower this morning where I just sat under the shower for about 60 minutes. I love the feeling of the water falling on me. Then I had my morning medicines and a bit of a rest and a nap while Dad went for his shower. At lunch time my teacher, Elisabeth, came in and we did some work. This is the first time in a little while that she managed to get me when I wasn’t sleeping. After that Susan came in and then the physical therapist, but by this stage I was wrecked and needed another rest / nap. All day I’ve been very thirsty. Dad said yesterday I was allowed one glass of coke and one glass of 7 UP. I had my coke early this morning, but this evening when I only had a little bit of 7 Up I ended up getting sick. Also this evening I had a peach and mango smoothie but that also came up after only a few minutes. I think I want to eat but it seems that nobody told my tummy. Tomorrow I’m going for my biopsy so I’ve to fast from 08:00 tomorrow and to stop drinking at 10:00. I hate not been able to drink so I’ve pestered the nurses to see if I can gargle water or take a little and spit it out, or eat an ice pop or have ice cubes. You get the idea; there must be a way around this not drinking. Anyway it is nearly 10:00 and I’m eating my 7UP frozen ice lolly (after a little fight with my dad) and I think after this it is time for bed. Nite nite, love Naoise.

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about enjoying a shower. It is a lovely feeling when the water is falling over you; very soothing! I'm sure you enjoyed your glass of coke this morning but it's a pity the 7UP made you sick later. Best of luck in the morning with the biopsy. Not drinking when you feel thirsty is very hard and ice cubes are a good idea to at least keep your mouth moist.
I'm going to tell you a funny story I heard the other day. Here it goes:
There was a woman who had three kids and they were all constantly asking her for a pet, even one pet to share. She always kept saying no to them as she believed she would be the one left to look after the pet, feed it, clean up after it etc. One day she was passing a pet shop in town with the kids and the three of them dashed in before she could stop them. They insisted on getting a pet and wouldn't leave until they did. In the end their mother gave in and bought one hamster. The children were delighted. They named the hamster 'Danny'. They fought over who would hold it on the way home, who would have the hamsters cage in their room at night and who would feed him in the morning etc. Unfortunately, their interest in the hamster didn't last and after a week or two their mother was left to look after Danny as she had predicted. She had to feed him and clean out his cage etc. She was not happy and after a month she decided to find a new home for Danny. She put an advert in her local newspaper looking for a good home. A woman phoned her and offered to take Danny. She said she would collect him at 6pm the following day. The mother told her children a woman would be taking Danny away and they barely turned their heads away from watching t.v. and just nodded. The following day the woman came to collect Danny and when the children saw her putting his cage into her car they burst into tears and starting begging their mother for Danny to stay. Their mother was confused and said to them "I told you a woman was taking Danny away yesterday and you didn't care in the least'. The children looked at her and explained they thought she said "A woman was taking Daddy away"!! Hee Hee

Margaret's joke above was a fun start to my day: "selling Daddy" nearly made me laugh as much as Georgina's one yesterday about selling Senan on eBay! I've told Jack there's a good joke on your site - I'm trying to encourage him to get moving for school!
By the way you are very good not to PRETEND that you are asleep when your teacher comes by - I think I might! And your Daddy is very good to be watching your liquid intake. I'm sure it is so hard for him to say no to you. Fingers crossed this biopsy helps the doctors in fixing your tummy and then you and your Dad can get back to all that lovely baking & cooking that you do so well.
I hope that you are back in your room really soon. Have you any nice movie plans for later? Your friend's recommendation of Grease is great, but being a McGrath I can't imagine you haven't seen that yet....Always worth watching again though!

You know its my birthday on 2nd of July and Mum made an appointment for the dentist,:( We finished the show last night and we are all wrecked, so mum only called us a few minutes ago, its 8.50, were going to be late. any way better go now, talk soon

We all loved the photos and video of your half birthday.It was great to hear you chatting away.The crew around you are fab and so much fun....not sure about the singing though..sorry girls. I heard you sang great on the phone to Bridget too on her birthday. Audrey was there when I went up and Aine and Kyle blew out the candles on the cake. I also met your beautiful new cousin. She is adorable.Today Joe katelyn and Sean are having sports day. Its a little wet so not sure yet if going ahead, Joe will not be impressed if cancelled.They will all be finished now in two weeks then Joe will be in 5th Katelyn in 4th and Sean in 1st. Saoirse is also going to start playschool so it will be Matthew en moi here. Hope you sleep better tonight and will chat soon take care lots of love from us all here

Thats a lovely photo of you. I love your pink top and pink duvet. I just read Margarets story above about 'selling Daddy' it was very funny! Georginas story yesterday about Senan was very funny too, its gas Senan wants suncream on while he is in bed!
Im going on a little holiday tomorrow with my boyfriend Phil. We are going to Rome and Barclona and Nice, for 2 weeks. I will go to internet cafes and go on to your blog while i am away. And Nana is going to keep me updated too.

ReplyDeleteim really liking the sound of 7up ice pops oh yeah gonna try that soon.chrissy came in to my salon today and got her toes painted for her holidays and i gave her a quick blowdry cause i had time she looked great when u get home i promise u can come in for a whole day and get a manicure pedicure and facial if u want il get the girls to pamper u i promise i know ud love that..xx
