Day +102, 103 and 104

Hi All,
Sorry I haven updated you in all in a couple of days but I've been a bit tired and sick, also more importantly I had a visitor. Emma my friend came to visit me and was actually allowed into my room! We had a fun day and night. We made perfume with Paula the play nurse, caught up on all the gossip and got into our PJs to watch Britains Got Talent, Emma even got into my blog. Thanks so much for coming Emma!! After all the excitment I was very tired today. I slept a bit in the moring, then watched a DVD along came Polly, then watch a bit of ICarly had another nap and am now waiting on the Apprentice to come on. I've had a few high temperatures and high heart rates over the past couple of days but am in good form. I haven't started my new drug ATG yet cos there is a lot to do with mummies blood cells and having the extracted or something... anyway I will start it end of this week or early next week will keep you posted! Guess what I did today, ate some rice!! I was feeling a bit hungry so I tried a bit, I hadn't eaten in six weeks so it was a bit strange. It tasted nice and went down well but most of it came back up in my tube, it was really funny to watch! I'm still up and down to the loo all the time and still on oxegen a lot but my rash is definitely getting better. Still hate getting my cream on. My neutraphils went down a bit they are 1.63, my white count is 1.9 and my platlets are 57. Well I'm tired now so gonna sign off. Will keep you updated on all my news from Newcastle!! Lots of love Naoise xxx

  1. Woohoo!

So delighted that your friend was allowed in to your room. How fab. Hope you're coping ok with the absence of Britain's got talent. I don't know what to do with myself!

Hope you get to build up your food intake so you can bite into something pink at the pink party.

  2. Hi Naoise
That is so great your friend was allowed in, I'm sure she was delighted, You sound a bit better today and starting back on food is good, hopefully you can eat a little more each day.
I just finished watching the Apprentice, it was good, pity he got fired I liked him, I thought lorraine was going to go, she can be a bit annoying.
I am running for Flora mini marathon on Monday for Temple street and when I get tired I am going to think of how brave you are and that will keep me going, you are probably fed up hearing about it, but really you are just an inspiration and we are all rooting for you to get better.

  3. Hello Naoise,

Im so glad you ate a bit of rice today honey. And thats good your rash is a bit better. Im sorry your still going to the loo a lot.

Im sure you are sick of hearing it but you really are so brave, your just amazing Naoise.

Paula, Phil Sadhbdh, Oisin and Caitlin are in Italy at the moment. They will be home on Sunday. Paula text me today and told me to tell you that they are all thinking of you. She has tried to go onto your blog but the ques in all the interets cafes is so long because all the Germans hog all the computers! So she told me to tell you that she is thinking of you and saying loads of prayers for you.

I love Britains got talent, i love the breakdancers they were brilliant.

Take care honey. Hope you have a good nights sleep tonight. Mis you so much.

    Lots of love,

  4. Hi Naoise,

I was outside the office this morning before it opened so was 2nd in line and actually got to the computer, yay!!

So lovely to be able to see how you are doing. I am so happy to see how you are doing, how nice that Emma got into your room! You are so brave honey, I know you are probably bored hearing that but it is so incredibly true!

I texted Chrissie yesterday as I was so annoyed always being left waiting for German teenagers to finish Bebo'ing so I could do something important - this place is 95% German, all the staff assume we are too so speak to us in German, I don't mind trying out my crap Italian as I am in Italy but German.....I know Uncle Michael loves all things German but I'm starting to find them all a little annoying.

  5. Sorry, I posted that before I was finished!!

Sadhbh was dying to leave you a comment too but I left her asleep in bed. We are having a nice time, it's very hot so lots of swimming and ice cream, Caitlin doesn't know what is going on at all but I think she is enjoying herself too. Apart from the food, we can't find any baby food she likes, I don't know what Italian babies eat but it's definitely not to her taste.

Anyway please know that we are thinking of you all the time and wishing you well. You are more than 1 in 1000, you are 1 in a million, I'd like to think that I'd bear all you've been through as bravely as you but I'm not so sure that's true.

    Love you lots pet,

    Paula xx

  6. Hi Naoise,

I logged on to your blog today, as I do many times a day, and I got such a fright because the first thing that comes up is the picture, and I thought 'oh my God who's that in the bed with Naoise'. That's just great that you were allowed a visitor, no offence to your Mam and Dad but I'm sure you were delighted to have someone else in the room with you. I know you've had other visitors but it's difficult talking through the window!

And you sound so much brighter today which is great! Very little to report here - Keelin had her first morning of school last week. She sat beside Aine, I'm sure Aine told you about it. They were both very brave. Eva had her school tour, Senan has a girlfriend which he is very proud of, and Connell has started to eat food other than milk and loving everything!!

I'll post again over the weekend, I think the weather is ment to be nice, any chance they'll let you go for a little walk again???

    lots of love,

    Nina

  7. Hi Naoise,

That is brilliant that Emma came over to visit you and fantastic that she could go into your room. It certainly sounds like her visit and your girly evening together lifted your spirits. It is a lovely photo of you both, seeing the two of you together put a smile on my face.

I am glad the rash is getting better and thats great that you got to eat some rice. Kiel is going through a rice phase and has it most nights at the moment but if a Chinese person saw what he eats it with they would think we are mad. He sometimes could have rice with chicken turnip and gravy! Don't think it is an authentic chinese dish but he likes it. And all the slagging I used to give your Nanna Ruth for the strange dinner combinations she used to make.

Are you enjoying Britains got talent. I love it, like Chrissy my favourites are the two dance acts that got into the final. It must take so much practice to be so co-ordinated, I can't even manage to keep up with the dance routines in an aerobic class.

Keep up the great fighting honey, you really are so brave and an inspiration to us all.

    Lots of love,
    Audy
