Day +3

Hi All, today was a day of 2 halves, I spent most of the first half of the day asleep but I came a little more awake once I had my shower. Dad was happy because he got to see his rugby match while I slept which was good for both of us. After that I had a shower and began to feel a little bit better. My tummy is still upset and I have a rash all over my body from the medicine that I’ve been receiving, sometimes it is very itchy. Professor Cant came in to visit me and he told me that I was doing OK and was where I should be at this stage. Later in the evening Paula, who is the play specialist came to visit me, she is brilliant and is always full off great ideas. Paula and I made chocolate rice crispy buns which we are going to sell to the nurses. I’m attaching a photo of Paula and me working on our buns. Paula said that I can be her bride’s maid if I help her find a good Irish man, you never know!! I just watched Dancing on Ice and now it is time to go sleep. Night night, love Naoise.

  1. Hi Naoise,
All that sleep! I'm so jealous ;-) Séadna had a sleepover last night Sadhbh & 2 other girls from her class stayed over - only problem was i couldn't get them 2 go 2 sleep!
They were trying to trick me so i would go 2 bed & leave them "Party" (In their dreams lol) Anyway it was after 1:30 this morning when they all fell asleep!! Of course Séadna woke at 7am - Don't think she quite gets the idea that it was sunday & she could stay in bed til lunchtime if she wanted!! I wish!!

Hope your tummy settles & the rash goes away very soon. Bet u were happy that yr Professor is pleased with how your doing!
When u come home we will be queuing up to buy some of your rice crispy buns! They sound yummy!
Tell Paula we will do our best to find her an "Irish Man" ;-)
    Take care
    luv maggie & séadna xxx

I didn't get to check in for the last couple of days. I will still thinking about you loads and sending your Auntie Audy messages of support for you.

Such a lot has happened over these days for you. I hope you are starting to feel a bit better and that the rash isn't annoying you too much.

Your cakes look yummy. Making me feel hungry and it's only 9am!!!

Good luck Naoise and continue to keep that lovely positive attitude that you have,

  7. Hi Naoise,

Good morning to you, it's a lovely day here in Dublin, and the last of our snowman melted. That's great that Prof Cant is happy with your progress and all is going to plan, keep focusing on the end result and it'll all be worth it.

Good timig escaping the rugby match, but they did win, unlike the Dubs who got hammered this weekend. I hope you made loads of money selling the rice krispie buns. We'll keep our eyes open for an Irish man for Paula, did you tell her that they have a reputation of being the most unromantic men in the world!

I'll post tomorrow, looking forward to your next update.

    All our love,
    George

  9. Hi Naoise

I have finally logged on to your famous blog! It has been lovely reading about how you are getting on, and to see that so many people are thinking of you are keeping in touch with you.

I love how the website has a pink background. I kind of expected to hear High School Musical tunes blasting out of the speakers as soon as I logged on too ;)

I was thinking of you especially on Friday because we had a Dress-up-in-pink-or-red-for Nyumbani Day. I'm sure that you would have had plenty of pink clothes to choose from for such an occasion!

I just came back to school last Monday. My foot is still fractured, but the doctor has told me that I may walk on my heel, but not on the part of my foot where the bone is fractured. According to one of the girls in my class, I now walk around like a penguin. I think that I look more like a waddling duck :)

School in hospital sounds like fun. I'm sure that all of the girls in Belgrove would love to do their sums on a computer.

I hope that you're not in too much pain, or feeling too ill at the moment. We miss seeing your smile around the school, and look forward to having you back!

    Ms Walshe :)

  11. Hi Naoise, Caoimhe here. I hope you are feeling better today. Not much news here. Tomorrow, I am going for a sleepover at Sadhbh's house. I am really looking forward to it, as I have no school on Thursday & Friday. On Sunday, I sang with the choir at mass, I like singing but for some reason, I was really tired and almost fell asleep! Jack broke his tooth at school yesterday. Mummy has taken him to the dentist this morning. I think that he did it on purpose so that he could get another day off school!!!! I love reading your Blog, it is a great way of keeeping in touch. We miss you and pray everynight that you get better soon. Say hi to your mum and dad! Love Caoimhe
