My Treatment - Day 11

Hi all, its me again. Just a short one today as I was very sick. Today is day -11 I'm looking forward to my transplant tomorrow. Today I started some anti rejection drugs which I will be on for about 2 or 3 weeks. Today I missed the teacher so I got away with no school work today!!! Mummy put my medicine in my tube today for the first time but then I threw up again. My throat and ear feel sore too but am getting some medicine to fix them. I haven't been eating at all except for ice lollies. I miss everyone so much, I miss my school, my friends, my family and my little sister. I also miss cuddles and hugs. Laurna called me tonight, it was great to have a catch up.

TTFN!! Love Naoise xxx

  1. Hi Naoise,

Sorry to hear you are not feeling very well at the moment. It's great you got away with no school work today!

Anyway I thought about you today when my son Michael (who is 2 days older than you) was looking for a new book to read. He found a book called War Horse by Michael Morpurgo. (I knew the author's name was familiar and remembered it was on your profile). We wondered if you read War Horse and if so what you thought of it.

Take care. God Bless. From Audrey, Tom, Patricia, Conor & Michael Byrne (your nana Ruth's friend) x

  2. Hi Naoise,
I am so sorry you are feeling so yucky and I hope that once the transplant starts you will feel much better. You are doing great and are the bravest little person ever. We are all missing you too honey. Aine was over with us on Sunday she was her usual fun loving little self but is definately missing her big sister. Thinking of you all the time and I have Kiel saying a prayer every night for his big cousin.
    Lots of love, Audy

  7. Hi Naoise,

It's Thursday morning, so right now you are probably undergoing your transplant, and back home we can't think of anything else. I can't wait for the sickness to pass for you, that's really hard to deal with. Sleep, rest, stay positive, the whole of north Dublin seems to be routing for you, everywhere I go I'm stopped by people asking me how you're getting on and sending on their best wishes.

    All our love, George

  14. Hi Naoise,
We know today was your transplant day. You are doing so well so far. We love reading about your progress. We will be thinking about you especially over the next 14 days as we know they will be hard for you. You are such a strong special girl though you will come through this like a trooper!
Ross and Greg send their love to you. Ross is making his confirmation Feb 27th. This will be you next year! He got his clothes (very casual). He's not too fussed about clothes. That's boys for you. They just don't appreciate fashion like us girls. By the way I loved your 'Its Only Rock & Roll' T-Shirt. We all noticed your fab window decorated with West Life stickers. It looks great. It must have been exciting meeting Niki in January (lucky girl).
We will keep reading your blog page. We send you lots and lots and lots of love!!!

  19. Hi Naoise
How wonderful you sleep and float away to dream relax and wake awhile to search your blog and read your mail , and smile and answer back. Which keeps us on our toes to watch for Naoise news which tells us of your day and how you are feeling. It makes us happy to know you are sleeping , like snow flakes softly floating. This makes us put a great big X on each day passing
