Day +76

Hi all, today has been a very quite day. Last night I was up 12 times between 10:00 and 7:00, which for me is not too bad, but I still felt very tired this morning. For breakfast I had a very small banana, raspberry, ice cream and milk milkshake. Then I had a few naps, in between the nurses and doctors coming and going. I haven’t fancied much else to eat as my tummy has been feeling quite sick though out the day. We are still waiting on the full virus report from my biopsy. It was due this evening, so lets hope it arrives tomorrow. Anyway Prof Cant (the boss) has already decided to reduce down some of my immune suppression medicines so as to encourage my own immune to go out and fight those virus. I spent the afternoon having naps and watching HSM 3. Then it was Friends. We are struggling to find something good to watch now for the evenings. Dad said something about Man United, what ever that is, but I just ignored him and watched Sweet 16. We are going to watch the Apprentice this evening. Before I go I got great news this morning, my Aunty Audrey had a little girl last night who she is calling Zoe, I love that name. There is a lovely nurse here called Zoe, in fact she is looking after me tonight. High little Zoe, I can’t wait to see you. That’s all for tonight.

  1. Hi Naoise

Wasn't that great news about Zoe. I can't wait to see her either. Imagine Kiel is a big brother now. Michael spoke to Audrey and she is doing great, when Zoe decided to enter this world, she wasted no time I gather & made a swift yet memorable (for Audrey) entry!

Jack and Michael are watching that Man United thing your dad wanted to watch! We were in late tonight as I had to take them all with me to Dundrum to buy sandals for our holidays in 2 weeks. I hate shopping with my gang and they hate it too but I have to say they were great.

I hope your immune system gets stronger every day to fight this and any other virus. I just want you to feel well again and for battles to be fought inside you without you even feeling a twinge of sickness. It will come but we all want it to be soon for you.
Say hi to your Mum & Dad for me, we are thinking of them too all the time. That's a lovely smiley photo of you and your Dad....bet he wasn't smiling though when it was Sweet 16 over Man U!

By the way Cormac was talking today about his Newcastle team and out of the blue asked if one of "his" players got injured could they end up being in hospital with you! I jokingly said yes & that maybe you could get an autograph for him. He didn't know what an autograph was so I explained it and he matter-of-factly said that he would send you HIS autograph to give to Collocini (his favourite player)! So don't be surprised if you get a scrap of paper in the post that says "To Collocini love Cormac"!

Best of luck with biopsy results tomorrow, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you. And I hope the sick feeling goes away and you manage to snatch a better night of sleep.

You're never out of my prayers and thoughts Naoise,
    Lots of love
    Aisling

  2. Hi Naoise,
I take it your Dad didn't look at the Man United match with you tonight then? He should have been in our house with Vincent, Ross and Greg glued to it on tv (boys)! I would have opted to watch Sweet 16 with you. Congrats on your new baby girl cousin. You will enjoy meeting her when you get home. We're delighted to hear your doctor is reducing some of your medication. That's such a good sign of how well you are doing. We hope you get your full virus report tomorrow. Hopefully you will get a few hours sleep again tonight. Tell your Dad he looks very well in orange! Maybe one day you will convert him to pink..hee.hee.

    Nite nite.
    Lots and lots of love

  6. Hey Naoise,

I am Aisling and Michaels friend from Atlanta, Caron. I just wanted to drop in and see how you're doing. Sorry your tummy's not the best:( I think of you often and keep you in my prayers.

I was just reading Aisling's post and I too have 4 kids and going shopping is like torture, so that made me laugh.

It is hot here in Atlanta (or Hotlanta as it is known). School is finished for the kids at the end of May, so just a few more weeks to go, and then the horror of the morning routine will end for a while.

Well, keep the pecker up and I will send you happy thoughts.

    Take care,
    Caron

  7. Hi Naoise,

Im sorry your tummy was a bit sick, i hope your tummy feels a bit better soon. I hope you get the results of your full virus report from your biopsy soon.

I have been trying to think of new programmes for you to watch. The apprentice is supposed to be good, i use to watch the Irish one. Do u like Sweet 16? I think its funny, the people who are 16 are always so rich and spoilt and always get a big fancy car for their birthday!!

I sent you a photo of baby Zoe to your UK phone, did u get it? If u didnt get it i can send it again. I visited Zoe in the hospital on Wednesday night, she is absolutely gorgeous. She is so small and cute. I think she looks a bit like Kiel. Her and Audy came home from the hospital yesterday.

    Take care honey. Miss you.
    Lots of love,
    Aunty Chrissie x x
