Day + 16

Hi Everybody - Today is Saturday and Saturday is hand over day. Mum and Nana have gone home - hope you had a rest Nana and thanks for staying with me ;-)!. Dad brought some great things over, he brought the Wii from home and a great picture from Aine plus Aine gave him a hat for me - to keep my head warm. Dad and me played the Wii most of the day - we played Wii music and Wii Fit, they are brilliant games (thanks Gaga). My apatite is getting better; I had pancakes for breakfast, lasagne for lunch and a plate of chips for tea. The nurses’ love when I eat as I don't have to have a feed through my tube. I stayed awake all day again but it's now 7 o’clock I'm very tired and I think I'll missed Ant & Dec!! Speaking of missing, I'm missing everybody at home. I love the comments and the mails they really help to cheer me up.

  1. Hi Naoise

It sounds like your Dad brought you some really nice things. It must be cool to have pieces of home in your hospital room. I hope that you'll have a good time playing with the Wii - it's so much fun to play, and sometimes even funnier to watch other people playing, isn't it? :)

I think that you'll have to ask the nurses to record Ant and Dec for you, or better still get your Dad to re-enact some of their sketches and stunts. That would be even more entertaining than the Wii! :)

I'm looking forward to seeing a photo of you in your new hat.

  2. Hi Naoise

Sounds like Saturday was lots of fun with the x-factor crowd. Were you singing along too?! I brought Brian Wii for xmas and he loves it. We both love racing cows it is such a laugh. I am sure though that you and your dad could beat us though quite easily with all your practice. We had pancakes in the week and they were yummy, what did you have on yours? We hope you keep on eating it will help you get stronger and you won't need that dreadful feeding tube.

Take good care Naoise, we think about you everyday. God bless, lots of love,Kim & Brian xxxxx

  5. Ireland....Ireland ......just starting the song you should sing when your nurses or doctors come into your romm after Irelands win over England in the rugby yesterday! I watched the match with Kiel yesterday he loved cheering along but was convinced that his daddy was playing the match and he picked out one of the players with a similar hair style to his daddy and decided that was him. I did'nt have the heart to tell him that his daddy was propping up the bar and was not one of Irelands rugby props!!

Glad to hear you were feeling a bit better yesterday and was able to eat, well done honey. I was so excited about your visitors on Friday, have'nt you got quite a list of celebs that you have met now. Take care honey. Oh and your Mammy was right you do look like Sinead O'Connor but much prettier!!
    Lots of love,
    Aunty Audy

  6. Hi Naoise

I am a friend of your dads from a long time back and last time I met you , you were only about 5 or 6 and sitting in the back of a shopping trolley. I see from your post today you have been playing with your Wii. I have a 5 year old Emma who beats me every time we play golf or bowling. I bet you do the same with Derek.

I see you watched Hairspray the movie. We went to see the show in London before Christmas. If you have not seen the show yet, you will have to get Derek to take you some time as if you like the movie you will love the show.

Those pncakes you are having for breakfast sound great. Emma loves pancakes also but covers hers with chocolate sauce.

I tried to upload a photo of Emma and myself so you could see who is sending you a message but didn's succeed. I am not great on computers. Maybe your dad can email me and let me know what to do.

Regards to your dad. I will sign off now but will keep in touch. Keep up the good work.

    Best wishes

    Rhona

  7. Hi Naoise
Glad to see you are getting your appetite back....sounds like you've had a pancake week over there & not just one pancake day!!
What an amazing treat to have the XFactor in to visit...and to sing to you....and to give you their bracelet. I could almost feel the excitement as I read your post! And the photos were all brilliant.
Michael wants to know did you watch the rugby match on Saturday?! Jack had a friend up to watch it with him & they were glued to the TV with Michael. We all watched it too & made popcorn so Cormac thought it was like being at the cinema. Michael, Jack & is friend screamed at the TV a bit, Cormac roared at his dinosaurs, Donncha threw the popcorn around the room and Caoimhe & I just sat through the madness!
That was very sweet of Áine to send you a hat. I'd say she is missing you lots too. We all are. I hope you have a very good week, that all your tests go well and that your teacher doesn't give you too much maths! Lots of love, Aisling
