Day +45

Hi All, today the clocks ‘sprung’ forward and it seemed to put the whole day out of sorts. Dad and me were up a lot last night but finally got to sleep at 5 this morning and woke up at 9, or could be 10? For breakfast I had pasta and chicken, for lunch I had soup and for tea I had some coca pops, so you see my day was kinda back to front. The day nurses were worried that they would sleep it out, but they didn’t – but one of the doctors did, I don’t want to say which one to save his embarrassment. Other than that we had a kinda quite day. Amanda the play specialist has a cold so couldn’t come into me. Both dad and I had a nap this afternoon – nothing like a little sleep in the middle of the day, after that we watched “Sydney White”, which is a modern Snow White story which was great. I had my shower late in the day, I had a quick one which was ok. Later we watched ‘come dine with me’ I’m becoming a big fan of this program and even better is that Friends is on later on E 4 so you don’t have to miss anything. As you can see a TV and sleepy day. Just one more day to my trip to Holland and the start of my rock star life style. Thanks to everybody for your kind messages. Nite nite, love Naoise.

  2. Ah a picture of the famous bag, it looks cool.

The hour made very little difference here, everyone was up before 7 as usual, but really it was 8, so it felt like we lost an hour during the day instead. Bed time took forever cause no one was as tired as they should have been.

Eva went to see High School Musical in the Gaiety with her friend. She said it was really good, I think it was the same production you went to with your Dad. She was dressed in her East High – Wild Cats cheerleaders dress. I had to remind her that she was Irish and we don’t have cheerleaders.

Great that you ate a bit. And sorry your night was once again very broken.

Hope you sleep tonight a bit better.

    Lots of love,

    Nina

  3. Hi Naoise,
I love Come Dine With Me too! Thought I think the girl who won today definitely cheated and should have been made to share the prize money!

Did the doctor who slept it out get into trouble? Or are you keeping it a secret for him?

Oisin wakes us all at 6.30 every morning so today it was a more civilised 7.30. I had to hang a blanket over his window so he'd think it was night time to get him into bed. Caitlin wasn't phased by it at all. Her teeth are coming through and she is a little grumpy, hope they come through soon!

I hope you get some rest tonight, say hi to your Dad for me!

    Lots of love, Paula

  4. Hi Naoise
What a higgedly piggedly day you had! I found the clock going forward really threw out our day as well...I don't know why coz it's only an hour but it was our excuse for never getting on track today!
I'm glad you got a few hours to nap throughout the day and I hope your Dad did too, but to not get to sleep til 5am and to be feeling as unwell as you are is SO tough on you. I really hope tonight is a better night. You are my inspiration to not give into my feelings of grumpiness when I am tired.
That is a really lovely bag - you'll have to give lessons when you get back! I love doing things like that.
Caoimhe wasn't feeling so great today so that was another excuse for a lazy day. We watched The Fresh Prince of Bel Air - it was my brothers favourite TV show when we were kids and I hadn't seen it in years, so it was fun for me and I think Caoimhe liked it too. Though after that we switched to The Suite Life of Zack & Cody which she and Jack love.
Then we read a bit of her book called "Annie Moore". It's a true story about 15 year old Annie Moore who emmigrated after the famine from Cork (or Queenstown as it was called then) to America in 1892 with her 2 little brothers. Its a nice story, I get tears in my eyes reading bits of it. Jack & Caoimhe think I am weird!!
I forgot to tell you last night that Cormac asked me to tell you he got the Collocini Match Attax card for his Newcastle Soccer team collection. That probably means nothing to you (and not alot to me either) - but that for him is like a Westlife autograph for you! He is a big fan of Collocini and Newcastle.
I'd better get to bed now even though I don't feel tired (that hour is still messing me up!). Wishing & wishing you get lots of good sleep tonight. Lots of love, Aisling xx

  7. HI Naoise
I had to log in to see the famous bag. I went over to see your Gran and Granddad McGraths house at the weekend and they were talking about "THE BAG". No disappointment there it is fab. I left them some pictures of your grate grandparents so your dad can bring them over for you to have a look at. I glad I'm not the only one who likes come dine with me. I just don’t know how there all so disorganised and have never made the food before I would have made it lots of times before for practice. You should have a come dine with me dinner when your back and score there food and hosting skills.
Enjoy the private Jet. I hope it all goes well.
