Day +43

Hi everyone, day +43. Dad came this morning and mum got to go home for a rest, she is pretty wrecked. I sent dad a shopping list to get on the way here and I was looking forward to my breakfast. I asked for Sherdies, but dad bought Shreded Wheat (which tastes like straw), he also bought frozen cocktail sausages – but Dad kinda of over cooked them (twice), I hope tomorrow he gets it right. The day was slightly better. Paula came in for a play date, which was fun. I made a cool bag which I’m going to bring with me on Tuesday; it is full of glitter (you’ve got to look the part). Paula is going to Sweden to present at a very important conference – good luck Paula. I’m still on lots of meds and the nurses were in & out all day. I had some pasta for lunch, which was nice. Then watched the Cinderella Story DVD and had a sleep. I had to have a shower later this afternoon which is very hard when you’ve just woken up from a nice sleep. I’ve two big pieces of news. Dad brought over the autographs of all of Westlife, Trina from 98FM met them and asked them for their autograph – thanks Trina, I love this. Then later today I got a parcel from London – It was a signed poster of the next Michael Morpurgo book. I was delighted to get this as I’m a big fan of his – his next book is called Running Wild – thanks to my teachers here in Newcastle for arranging this. I hope I have a better nights sleep tonight. Thanks to all for your good wishes, they really make a big difference. Love Naoise PS Gail, great to talk to you today.

  1. Hi Naoise,

Dad's - what are they like! Shreded Wheat is straw! And burnt sausies! I'd say you were delighted to see him all the same.

Today sounds a little more comfortable, and two very exciting gifts. Westlife autographs- WOW! And Michael Morpurgo's autograph, that's brill.

Delighted you're eating a little. And your glitter bag is just the thing for private jetting it to Holland for stem cell transfusion, I'd say it's a must have!

Hope you get some sleep tonight.

    Night night,
    Auntie Nina

  2. Hi Naoise
Your dad sounds like a silly sausage for mixing it all up, my dad does the same things sometimes. Once he screwed a mirror onto the wall in his room and we were in bed and the screws came right through the wall into our room, lucky it was not too close to my head. Glad you finished your bag today and as you say you need to look the part getting on a private jet. Lucky you getting the autographs and the signed poster, We have started reading his books. We read the butterfly lion, which one of his books do you think is the best? I(Isabelle) had my violin exam today, I think it went o.k. Ella got a new bed today and we did her room up all pink and fairylike but she came up and was giving out about a few things in it. Mam said she is like Nellie Olson from little house and the prairie. Well better go now. Hope to hear more news tomorrow and hope you get a better sleep. Tell your dad to be careful with the sausages tomorrow.

    Love Isabelle and Sophie

  5. Hi Naoise,

Sounds like your day was a little better than the past couple of days. What a suprise getting all those autographs from Westlife - You can forgive your dad for the dodgy cereal and burnt sausages ! Everybody in Temple St is asking for you - you must almost feel all the good wishes coming your way from EVERYONE. As several people have already mentioned you are the braviest girl we know and everybody is so proud of you. Please god Tues will be the real turn of the corner and you can concentrate on getting stronger and better each day.

David is playing a match against Clontarf in the morning and Sean is going to a birthday party so I sent them off to bed early and David wasn't impressed. Cillian is gone to the land of nod since 7 pm,I dont no who was more tired me or him !

No other news from home . Will be in touch before Tues. We miss you lots. All our love and very best wishes ... Nuala , Matt and boys xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  6. Hi Naoise
I haven't been able to get online for a few days but Michael & Nana were keeping me uptodate. My heart was breaking for you being so sick but I am so glad to see today was a little better. I know you're still a long way from being as good as you were before St Patricks Day so we are saying lots of prayers that the getting better happens super quick. You're some special girl.
Well you'll have to get a photo of yourself boarding your private jet to Holland to put on your blog. Make sure the new handbag is with you for the photo shoot!
Funny, I served burnt sausages for dinner today too! But I followed it with pancakes so I was in the good books!
I hope you and your Dad have a good nights sleep tonight and your Mum gets some rest too for your big trip on Tuesday. Thinking of you all & hope you are feeling stronger tomorrow. Lots of Love, Aisling

  8. Hi Naoise!
I'm sorry to hear that you have not been feeling well lately, I hope those horrible pains in your tummy go away soon. A private jet to Holland!! Oh my God! I bet you that westlife don't even get to travel around on private jets AND without having to do all the boring stuff in the airport! Did you have a nice breakfast this morning? No more burnt sausages I hope!! I agree with you about shredded wheat...Ugh..Don't forget to take some pictures of your glitter bag, sounds very glam! I once tried to make myself a bag but it was a disaster! I was walking down the street and everything fell out because the bag broke! U must be more talented than I am! Have a lovely day naoise, lots of love from France!
